BAER’S FURNITURE

This project was completed as a joint venture design with Gustavo Carbonell and Woody Friese.  We were contracted to design an additional 110,000 square feet of warehouse distribution center and headquarter offices.  The existing 140,000 sq.Ft. distribution center to the north was to be combined with the new facility to create a cohesiveness both in design as well as internal function.  The overall building structure was a large span metal building with concrete block wrap around exterior walls.  The 10,000 square foot office mezzanine was designed with steel columns, beams, bar joist and a poured concrete floor.  The front distribution area has 15 dock height doors with 5 more in the rear for additional furniture delivery.  Internally a massive steel racking system over 40’ in height occupies the entire floor area.
